In the first trimester of this year the traffic in the harbour system of the Southern Adriatic is diminished of -6,5%



In the first trimester of this year the administered harbour system from the Authority of Harbour System of Mare Adriatico Meridionale, that it is constituted by the ports of Bari, Brindisi, Manfredonia, Barletta and Monopolies, has enlivened 3,26 million tons of goods, with a bending of the -6,5% on the same period of 2018, of which 2,36 million tons to disembarkation (- 8.4%) and 901 thousand tons to the boarding (- 1.0%).

The single port of Bari has closed the first three months of 2019 with a total of 1,27 million tons (+2.2%). The goods several tons (- 2.3%), of which 735 thousand tons of cargos ro-ro (+0.5%), 159 thousand tons of cargos in container (- 11.5%) and 7 thousand have been 901 thousand tons of other cargos (- 38.6%). In the field of the solid bulk the traffic has been of 374 thousand tons (+15.1%) and has turned out constituted from 337 thousand tons of cereals (+26.5%), 30 thousand tons of chemicals (- 35.2%), oily 6 thousand tons of alimentary commodities, feeds and seeds (- to 44.7%) and thousand tons of other bulk (+16.9%). In the section of the passengers the traffic of the ferries, with 146 thousand people, has recorded a decrease of the -4,1% while that of the cruises, with than less 14 thousand passengers, is increased of +74.8%.

In the single port of Brindisi the traffic of the goods is piled totally to 1,54 million tons (- 17.5%). The goods several has totaled 532 thousand tons (- 2.9%), of which 525 thousand tons of rotabili (- 2.8%) and 7 thousand tons of other cargos (- 8.3%). The liquid bulk is diminished of the -14,1% to 542 thousand tons, included 298 thousand producing tons of oil refined (- 22.0%), 185 thousand tons of producing oil gaseous, liquifying or compressing and natural gas (+1.1%) and 59 thousand tons of other cargos liquids (- 6.3%). Down also the bulk sand banks with 462 thousand tons (- 32.3%), included 238 thousand tons of coals and lignites (- 50.2%), oily 52 thousand tons of alimentary commodities, feeds and seeds (+22.8%), 32 thousand tons of produced metalworkers (+211.0%), 30 thousand tons of cereals (+2.2%), 15 thousand tons of minerals, concretes and soccers (+18.1%), 5 thousand tons of chemicals (to +25.0%) and 44 thousand tons of other bulk sand banks (+185.0%). In the section of the ferries the traffic of the passengers has been of 36 thousand people (+0.1%).

In the first trimester of this year the port of Barletta has enlivened 198 thousand tons of goods (- 14.0%), the port of Monopolies 146 thousand tons (+84.8%) and the port of Manfredonia 103 thousand tons (+56.8%).
