
Last month, the traffic of goods in the port of Valencia
amounted to 6.24 million tons, a decrease of -5.9%
on April 2025 determined by the reduction in volumes in all
Main product sectors with the exception of liquid bulk
which recorded an increase of +6.5%. Bulk cargo down
(-12.4%), as well as conventional goods (-0.2%) and
containerized goods (-7.5%). The latter stood at
4.91 million tonnes with container handling
equal to 496 thousand TEUs (-2.5%), of which 141 thousand TEUs at embarkation (+10.2%),
146 thousand TEUs on landing (+6.9%) and 213 thousand TEUs in transit (-14.3%).
In the first four months of 2026, the Spanish port of call
handled a total of 23.01 million tons of goods,
with a decrease of -4.3% on the same period last year.
Liquid and solid bulk fell by -2.4% and
-8.5% dropping to 451 thousand and 488 thousand tons. Also decreasing
conventional goods with 3.77 million tonnes (-3.4%) and
