Last month, Spanish ports handled 47.7 million tonnes of goods, with a decrease in -1.8% on July 2025 due to the reduction in volumes of traffic in all the main product sectors with the exception of that of dry bulk which, with over 6.7 million tons, recorded an increase of +5.3%. Liquid bulk decreased by -4.0% to 15.7 million tonnes and declined miscellaneous goods were also found with 23.7 million tons (-2.8%), of which 16.1 million tonnes of containerised goods (-3.8%) achieved with a container handling of 1,581,071 TEUs (-5.6%) and 7.7 million tonnes of goods (-0.5%). In the cruise sector, traffic is 1.3 million passengers (+1.0%) and in the ferry sector of almost 3.9 million passengers (-1.9%).

In the first seven months of 2026, the total traffic of the was 325.4 million tonnes, an increase in by +0.4% compared to the same period last year. The miscellaneous goods traffic showed a slight decrease in the -0.8% with over 164.1 million tons handled, of which 53.1 million million tonnes of conventional goods (+0.8%) and 111.0 million tonnes tonnes of containerised goods (-1.5%) totalled with a Container handling of 11,002,672 TEUs (+1.2%), including 5,682,200 TEUs in transit (+0.5%), 4,057,537 TEUs in import-export (+1.9%) and 1,262,935 TEUs of national traffic (+1.8%). Bulk amounted to 107.1 million tonnes (+3.4%) and dry waste at 45.0 million tons (-2.7%). In the segment of passengers, cruises recorded a growth of +1.7% with 7.7 million passengers and ferries have suffered a drop of -2.5% with 15.0 million passengers.
