The Italian Academy of the Merchant Marine has signed a
memorandum of understanding with the port of Durres aimed at
consolidate an already active cooperation between the two
organizations and pave the way for further activities
in the field of maritime and port training and
professional development. Cooperation also develops from
from the activities carried out through the Centre of Excellence
for Maritime Affairs (CEMA) and IMSSEA - the international section
of the Italian Academy of the Merchant Marine - creating
opportunities for specialised training, the exchange of
skills and experience and the development of initiatives and programmes
joint professional partners. The agreement was signed by Liburn
Aliu, director of the port of Durrës, and Eugenio Massolo,
President of the Italian Academy of the Merchant Navy.
