The president of the Port System Authority of the Sea
Ionio, Giovanni Gugliotti, renewed the request to the government to
guarantee resources, times and implementation tools for the project
strategic hub in the port of Taranto.
Today, on the occasion of the opening ceremony in Taranto, the
third edition of Offshore Wind Revolution, the
Offshore Wind Development, an international event dedicated to the development of offshore wind
from the Apulian port authority itself, Gugliotti underlined that
"The project, initially supported by a forecast of 28
million euros and subsequently reduced to 13 million,
needs adequate resources to allow the increase in lift
of the quays and yards, as well as for the start of the works
essential for the creation of the hub. And on this project,
which can neither be downsized nor
postponed - he specified - the commitment of the Port Authority of the Ionian Sea, is
total and unconditional. We have therefore asked for the reconfirmation of the
resources needed and a formal guarantee on the financing to be
allocate for 2027. Immediate objective: to publish the call for proposals for
the execution of the works and start the works without further delay
consolidation of the quays".
