APM Terminals, the terminal operator of the Danish group
A.P. Møller-Mærsk has intensified cooperation with
the Vietnamese Hateco group, so far limited to the port area,
extending it to railway infrastructure. Yesterday the two companies,

in the framework of the Vietnam-Denmark Economic Forum held in
Copenhagen, have agreed on a partnership to develop a network
of rail freight terminals in Haiphong and three other locations
in northern Vietnam, with an estimated initial investment
equal to about 3.5 billion dollars. The goal is to create
a network that connects industrial areas, production centers,
logistics and port systems.
The collaboration between Hateco and APM Terminals was
inaugurated with the joint development of Hateco Hai Phong
International Container Terminal (HHIT), located in the port area
of Lach Huyen, in the city of Haiphong, which is
became operational last year
(
of 27
March 2023 and 23
March 2026). In addition, last April the two parties
announced a partnership for the development of the Lien Chieu project
International Container Terminal, in the city of Da Nang
(
of 27
April 2026).
