 Lo statunitense Department of Transportation (DOT) ha deciso ieri l'assegnazione di fondi per un totale di 92,3 milioni di dollari destinati ad incrementare la sicurezza di 51 porti e delle relative infrastrutture portuali. In particolare 9,3 milioni di dollari saranno utilizzati per valutare e sperimentare l'impiego di nuove tecnologie e di innovativi sistemi di sicurezza. Le sovvenzioni saranno assegnate sia ad enti pubblici che ad operatori privati.
