Al via the educational project "Welcomes on board" realized from Genoa Port Center in collaboration with Large the Navi Veloci



Genoa Port Center (GPC), exhibition-didactic center of the port of Genoa, in collaboration with the navigation company Large Navi Veloci (GNV) has started today the new educational special project "Welcomes on board" turned on the five Centers of Education to Job (C.E.L.) of the Municipality of Genoa that on board previews the realization of a first series of guided tours of the ships of GNV for about 100 boys with the objective discovering the marine world of work. The initiative joins in the project "City of the intentional and financed Port" from the Province of Genoa and the Carige Foundation for the spreading of the harbour culture near the new generations.

The C.E.L., coordinated from the municipal administration and managed from social cooperatives, are structures that carry out participations of education, formation and guideline to the job for the boys who have abandoned the school. Such structures, beyond offering occasions of socialization, cultural promotion, acquaintance of the territory through recreational activities, insert own participation in an optical of prevention of the risks of social uneasiness, proposing the covered boys formative of acquaintance of the world of work, in order to experience own abilities in an adequate atmosphere and stimulant.

The guideline project "Welcomes on board" concerns on the organization of guided tours to the Great operating and professional truths of the Navi Veloci, enriched from encounters with the marine operators of the company in order to illustrate to the young people the job, the demanded competences and the modalities in order to undertake a formative and professional distance in this within.

The visits, that they will involve a hundred of boys of age comprised between the 15 and 20 years accompanied from the relative educators, will be developed in five newspaper: today the ship Fantastic (C.E.L will be visited. "Ariadne"), next friday newly Fantastic (C.E.L. "Modern times"), next monday Supreme (the C.E.L. "The Turret"), on 9 May Arrogant (the C.E.L. "Ascur") and on 13 May Splendid (C.E.L. "The Laboratory").

Alle guided tours will follow the next month a formative participation for giving a panoramic one on the current situation of the harbour marine job of the genoese truth. Such encounter, to which those young people will participate that will have demonstrated greater interest towards the carried out activities, will be held by in charge of the formation of Large the Navi Veloci near the center of Genoa Port Center, in the Ancient Port of Genoa.

Large Genoa Port Center has established a collaboration with the Navi Veloci with the twofold objective of: to widen the partnership of the Center with entrepreneurial truths important of the portualità and to favor for the young people the possibility to approach to particular experiences of guideline as that object of the new project. Large the Navi Veloci frames this initiative in the immense program of formation and relationships with the city, also putting on its competences for the subjects that participate to the marine cluster, above all those which address to the young generations.
