From the 13 on 15 May to the Arsenal of Venice the new edition of Mare Maggio will hold



From the 13 on 15 May next ones to Venice Mare Maggio will return, the manifestation dedicated to the marineria and the culture of the sea that has become an appointment of success in the calendar of the Venetian events also thanks to the place that accommodates it: the Arsenal, than opens with passage directed between the areas guarded from Marina Militare and those of the civil Federal property.

The edition 2011, organized one from Expo Venice in collaboration with Assonautica Venice and cured by Lorenzo Pollicardo, will place side by side to the architectonic beauties, to the Pavilion of the Ships and the heirlooms of Marina Militare (the Dandolo submarine and Motor barge MZ 737) an involving program of activity with events, tests in sail water and oar (by Italian Navy League, RSC Bucintoro, Polo Nautico Puntasangiuliano), historical commemorations (by the CERS, European Consortium Historical Commemorations). A distance started in the 2008 with the Galee, arriving this year to the passage will be completed so the Most serene one to the Unit of Italy. Sailors of age uniforms and weapons of the various periods will meet the visitors showing: to the calegher and the sartor the task will be up to make to see to the public one as the uniforms came true, the shirts, the accessories and, firstly, the footwear, typical and so particular for all the 700 and the 800. The smith of Ervas art will hold the laboratory in which objects in use to the age will be forged.

More the little ones will be involved in a laboratory on the pirates, with a fascinating scavenger hunt. And true "treasures" of marine archaeology will be to the center of the activities of the Venetian section of the Archeoclub that, in collaboration with the Supervision for Beni Archeologici of Veneto, will cure exposures and encounters on the defensive system of the mouth of port of Lido and on the projects of census of the activities of voluntary service of underwater archaeology in sea and internal waters.

The appointment with the Gathering of Sails of Age of the City of Venice and VelaVenezia will be renewed moreover, the promoted not competitive sailed one from Assonautica Venice in Basin of San Marco that will be concluded just to the Arsenal.

The manifestation will offer also to numerous possibilities of shopping with stands of apparel, publishing, Coleccionism and producing enogastronomic and the opportunity to sail towards the typical Islands of the Lagoon North on bragozzi or the lugger "the New carried Triumph" to new life from the homonymous association.
