The Chilean South American Compañía de Vapores (CSAV) has signed an agreement of the initial term of three years with the shipping company Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) which provides for the cooperation of the two companies on a variety of routes, particularly in services between the North Europe and the west coast of South America, including Asia and South Africa, between the east coast of South Africa and the Middle East and between South Africa and the Middle East / India.
The agreement, which will become operational by the first week of next month, the route to North Europe - West Coast of South America Euroandes regards the weekly service, made with eight container ships of 5,000 TEUs, which will scale the ports of Rotterdam, Antwerp, Felixstowe , Bremerhaven, Hamburg, Caucedo, Cartagena, Cristobal, Balboa, Callao, Puerto Angamos, Coronel, San Antonio, Balboa, Cristobal, Rotterdam.This service will be connected in Balboa and Cristobal with the three services weekly feeder Feeder 1 (ports of Santo Tomas de Castilla, Puerto Cortes, Puerto Limon, Cristobal, Caucedo, Rio Haina, Santo Tomas de Castilla), Feeder 2 (Balboa, Buenaventura, Balboa, Ilo, Callao, Paita, Balboa) and Feefer 3 (Balboa, Guayaquil, Balboa).
On the route east coast of South America - Middle East service asax / Marco Polo will consist of two weekly rotations. The Loop 1, operated with eight ships 5000-6000 TEUs, will reach the ports of Suape, Santos, Buenos Aires, Rio Grande, Navegantes, San Francisco do Sul, Sepetiba, Suape, Las Palmas, Valencia. The second loop, made of five 4000-5000 TEU vessels, will scale Salvador, Santos, Rio de Janeiro, Navegantes, Paranagua and Rio Grande, Santos, Las Palmas, Valencia. Both rotations will be reinforced with additional stops in the Middle East.
Connecting South Africa - Middle East / India service weekly Marco Polo, operated by five 2500-3000 TEU container ships, will arrive in Durban, Jebel Ali, Karachi, Mundra, Nava Sheva, Colombo, Durban.
Finally on the route Asia - South Africa (weekly service asax) 4000-6700 TEU ships will carry seven rotation Fuzhou, Xiamen, Kaohsiung, Hong Kong, Chiwan, Singapore, Port Louis, Durban, Ngura, Port Louis, Singapore, Fuzhou.
