In the 2011 ships of Corsica Sardinia Ferries they have transported 3,4 million passengers (- 7.0%)



Last year the ships of Corsica Sardinia Ferries have transported altogether 3.458.000 passengers from and for the Corsica and the Sardinia with a decrease of 7.0% regarding 2010. The routes for the Sardinia have recorded the bending more emphasized (- 18.4%) having totaled 767,172 passengers. The services with the Corsica have transported 2.691.024 passengers (- 3.1%).

The company has evidenced that own result of 2011 "is attested to an inferior value regarding the losses recorded from the marine field, that has suffered of the difficult conjunctural period and, in particular, of the increase of the price of the fuel". Moreover Corsica Sardinia Ferries has evidenced that the decrease on the Sardinia is maintained however "under the average of the losses of the ports of the North Sardinia (- 23%) demonstrating to the engagement of the company for the development of Sardinian tourism and the distributed commercial efforts during all the year". Also the contraction of the traffic with the Corsica (- 3.1%) - has found the company - he turns out "inferior to the general decrease of the marine traffic on the French island, pairs to 5%" and Corsica Sardinia Ferries "maintains the leadership on the Corsica, conquering, for the first time, beyond 64% of the traffic total".

Positive altogether the course of the transport goods realized from the company that in 2011 it has made to record 1.028.000 linear meters (+11.0%).

Corsica Sardinia Ferries has announced that the temporary data of turnover 2011 realized on the lines with the Corsica and the Sardinia last year piles to 251 million euros respect to a temporary data of turnover 2010 of 198 million euros communicated from the company.

Corsica Sardinia Ferries has announced also the programs for 2012, year that - it has specified - "is opened to the standard of throws again, with an increase of ability to 19.26% and with beyond 7.000 crossings, programmed for the three destinations: Corsica, Sardinia, Island of Elba. In particular it will be the new service on the Lead-Portoferraio draft to haul the increase of ability to the company, than from june to september it will put online the HSC Second Express Corsica, in a position to reaching the single island of Elba in 30 minutes, with six departures to the day. Moreover, great attention will be dedicated also to tourism low season".
