In the first three months of this year the traffic in the port of Amburgo is increased of +1.7%



In the first trimester of this year the traffic of the goods enlivened from the port of Amburgo has grown of +1.7% being is pairs to 35,4 million tons regarding 34,8 million tons enlivened in the first three months of 2016. The increase is determined by the rise of +6.7% of the exports that are piled to 15,6 million tons, while the imports are diminished of -1,8% coming down to the 19,8 million one tons.

In the field of the goods several the total has been of 22,9 million tons, with a bending of the -1,8% on the first trimester last year. The single handling of goods conventional has been pairs to 320 thousand tons (- 22.0%), while the goods containerized has been attested 22,6 million to tons (- 1.4%) and is totaled with a container handling pairs to beyond 2,2 million teu (- 0.7%), of which 1,9 million teu full (empty 0%) and 307 thousand teu (- 4.9%).

Relatively to the total volumes of containerized traffics with the single markets, in the first trimester of 2017 in increase it has turned out the traffic of the port of Amburgo with Europe, that it has been pairs to 663 thousand teu (+0.6%), so as those with the Americas, gone up to 311 thousand teu (+6.4%), and with Pacific Australia/, that has been pairs to 13 thousand teu (+19.9%); instead the traffics with Africa are diminished (70 thousand teu, -5,5%) and with Asia (1,2 million teu, -3,0%), with a bending of the -2,0% of the traffic (637 thousand teu) with the single China that is the main commercial partner of the German port. The Harbour Authority of Amburgo has evidenced that relatively to the three first partner commercial of the port, only the traffic with China is diminished, while that with Russia is increased of +15.6% to 120 thousand teu and that with the USA is gone up of +5.5% to 89 thousand teu.

The German harbour authority has specified that in the first three months of this year in port 74 portacontainer have reached of large-capacity, in a position to transporting beyond 14.000 teu, and that this represents an increment of +61.0% on the same period of 2016. The agency has emphasized that the participations of dredging of the Elba river approved of from the federal administrative Court 9th February will be of large important for the harbour activity to light of the increase of the ports of call of ships of great dimensions.
