Agreement for the interoperability between the Integrated Platform of Circulation and the Port Community System of Genoa and Savona



The Authority of Harbour System of the Ligurian Sea Western has announced that the agency and Italian Railway Net (RFI) has set up the final elements for the agreement of interoperability between the PIC (Integrated Platform of Circulation) and PCS (Port Community System) and that thanks to such interoperability, through a structured and organized computerized dialogue, a series of information and documents will be able to be managed and to be anticipated, which for example the position of the train on the net, from always considered "particularly valuable" by the harbour user.

The harbour authority has specified that the agreement, shared with the operating railway enterprises in the ports of Genoa and Savona I go, is framed in a wider strategy than development of the infrastructural and immaterial members of last railway mile that represents a key element for the future development of the harbour activities.

Moreover the AdSP of the Ligurian Sea Western has remembered that the agency with UIRNet, the subject only actuator of the MIT for the realization and the management of National the Logistic Platform, in cooperation with the involved launches stakeholder, is for a long time developing a project of digitalisation, automation and reorganization of the harbour railway process, project that is born from the requirement to take part in a field that, at least to harbour level, turns out evolven still little under the profile of the informative exchange. Scope of the project is a better programming and railway operations management of all the actors involved in the row, finalized to an increase of the competitiveness of the rail shipment and intermodal da/per the port, in a logic of increase inland of the basin of traffic of the harbour system.

The total project of the new "railway module" will benefit also of deep European CEF in the picture of the And-Bridge project (coordinator MIT) and I found myself on the interoperability with the railway different arranges INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY for an organized exchange of data and documents that regard the entire row. More in perspective the progettuali activities will comprise the development of the gate one automation railway with the objective to offer to the operators the possibility to benefit of evolven logistic and customs procedures, which for example the railway pre-clearing.
