THE Alliance confirmation the ports of call directed to the ports of Genoa and La Spezia in own Network of services for 2020



Also this year Genoa and La Spezia they will be the single Italian ports directly scaled from the Network of services of containerized marine transport acts from THE Alliance, the shipowning consortium constituted by the company of German navigation Hapag-Lloyd, from that Ocean Japanese Network Express (ONE) and from the taiwanese Yang Ming to which it has recently it has joined also the South Korean company Hyundai Merchant Marine (HMM)(on 1° July 2019). The shipowning alliance in fact has confirmed today that in the new programming of own services of line that will take effect next the first April Italy it will be present, so as in 2019, with single the two from Liguria ports, while previously the ships of the consortium touched also the port of Livorno (in 2018 and the 2017) and port of Salerno (in 2018).

In the 2020 port of Genoa, so as last year, it will be climbed by services MD1 and MD2 that connect the Far East with the Mediterranean, while the port of, as in 2018, will be included in the spin of service MD2. In the schedule relative to the services offered from the alliance in 2017 and the 2018 two from Liguria ports, so as Salerno and Livorno, they were touched also by the service AL6 that connected the Mediterranean with the coast oriental of the USA, route that successively THE Alliance has abandoned.

The programming of the services of the alliance for 2020 is announced after the American Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) has authorized company HMM to join to the THE Alliance. This year in own Network of routes, that it will be constituted by 33 services that will touch 78 ports regarding 29 services for 76 ports in 2019, the consortium will employ altogether beyond 280 portacontainer regarding 249 used ships last year.
