
The Emirati terminal operator AD Ports announced
the signing of three contracts worth a total of 735
million dirhams (US$200 million) for construction and
the equipment of the new Noatum Ports multipurpose terminal
Pointe-Noire Terminal of the Congolese port of Point Noire which
the company will manage as part of a joint venture with the CMA
Terminals of the French group CMA CGM
(

June 2023 and

February 2025). The largest share of the investment, equal to
approximately $551 million, will be dedicated to the execution of
maritime and terminal preparation works carried out by the
Mar Contracting Sarlu and MBTP SA, while 50 million dollars
are intended for the purchase of three super ship-to-shore cranes
post-Panamax that will be supplied by China's Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy
Industries Co. (ZPMC).
Initially, the terminal will be equipped with a quay of
420 linear meters with a depth of the seabed of -16 meters.
