
The Middle Eastern port and logistics group AD Ports has signed a
an agreement to acquire the entire share capital of the company of
MBS Logistics, which last year recorded
a turnover of 205 million euros and has a network of 26 offices in
and a team of more than 450 people. The operation
will cover the shipping and logistics activities of
MBS Logistics in Germany, Switzerland, Asia Pacific and the United States, for example
exclusion of joint ventures. The improvement of the
transaction, which is subject to customary approvals
regulatory and other closure conditions, is provided for
the second half of this year. Following the completion,
MBS Logistics will become part of Noatum Logistics, the
integrated platform that leads the logistics cluster of AD Ports.
Founded in 1987 and headquartered in Cologne, MBS Logistics operates
mainly shipping services in the air, sea,
road and rail sectors, as well as in the contract
logistics, project cargo, customs and compliance services and
multimodal solutions for urgent shipments. The company serves
a wide range of industries, including aerospace,
automotive, e-commerce, engineering, technology,
of consumer goods, health and many others.
The current shareholders of MBS Logistics will exit the business
operating with the exception of Joerg Roehl, Chief Executive Officer and
shareholder of the company that will continue to hold the
role of CEO of MBS Logistics and will be part of the team
management team of Noatum Logistics.
