At the end of the month, Germany's Hapag-Lloyd will reorganize its
scheduled services in the Adriatic that call at the ports of Ancona and
Venice removing the first Italian port of call from the service
Adria Express (ADX) which connects it with the Egyptian port of Port
Said and who instead maintains the call at the Venetian port. Ancona
will continue to be served only by the IAS line that
connects to the ports of Venice and Rijeka. In addition, the port of Venice
will continue to be connected with Asia through the
IAS via the Croatian port of Rijeka which is taken over by the service
SE1 which passes around the Cape of Good Hope and through the
ADX line via the Egyptian port of Port Said which is scaled
by the SE3 service that passes through the Suez Canal and by the
SE4 that surrounds the Cape of Good Hope.
