
The Finnish manufacturer of lifting equipment and
Konecranes has announced its entry into
Japan with the acquisition of 70% of the share capital of
Mitsubishi Electric FA Industrial Products (MFK) of the group
Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, a company specializing in
production, marketing and maintenance of rope hoists and
in the production of gearmotors. The remaining 30% of the capital
will remain in the hands of Mitsubishi Electric. The value

MFK, which has about 400 employees and is headquartered in Fukuoka, is
was founded in 1944 and in recent years has recorded a
turnover of approximately 90 million euros per year generated
mainly from sales in Japan and the remaining share from sales
in other Asian countries.
