
Terminals Italy, company of FS Logistix, will manage the intermodal terminal of Orte from January 2027. The terminal is directly connected to the railway hub of Orte, intersection point between the Rome-Frenze, the Orte-Falconara line and the Scandinavian-Mediterranean Corridor, and is close to the main road axes, including the A1 Milan-Napoli highway and the E45/SS675. The proximity to Rome, the port of Civitavecchia and the main productive districts of central Italy strengthens the potential of the port of call as a platform to service the industrial and distribution chains.
The terminal has about 96,000 square meters of squares, three tracks dedicated to intermodal operations, semovent cranes, maneuver locomotors and specialized equipment for the management of intermodal transport units. The hub was born to serve a wide and diversified logistic and productive basin: from the distribution logistics and GDO of the Roman area, also in retroporto optics of the capital, to the steel pole of Terni, to the chemical pole of Narni, to the district of the ceramics of Civita Castellana and to the agro-food section of Tuscia.
With this entry, 23 terminals managed by FS Logistix in Europe rise.
