
Dubai-based terminal operator group DP World today announced a
Initial investment of €48 million to build a hub
temperature-controlled logistics in the port of Antwerp, with the
prospect of implementing further phases of the project that will lead to
the investment to a total of about 100 million euros.
The initiative will be carried out in collaboration with the
Belgian real estate companies Montea and Maatschappij Linkerscheldeoever (MLSO)
who will build the structures.
The new logistics hub, designed primarily to serve
customers in the sanitary ware, products and
pharmaceutical and perishable products, will occupy an area of
83 thousand square meters adjacent to the Antwerp Gateway container terminal
managed by DP World itself and will have warehouses for
over 55 thousand square meters. According to forecasts, the construction
of the logistics structure will begin in the second quarter of
next year, with completion of the works expected in the second
quarter of 2028.
