
Yesterday in Paris, on the occasion of the Franco-Saudi meeting on
investments, the French shipping group CMA CGM has signed a
definitive agreement with the Saudi terminal operator Red
Sea Gateway Terminal (RSGT) to jointly develop and operate
Terminal 4 of the Port of Jeddah in collaboration with Saudi Arabia
Ports Authority (Mawani), a project for which the

The planned investment amounts to approximately 434 million dollars.
The construction of the new docks, which will be equipped with ten
new ship-to-shore cranes, will make it possible to increase by about
2.6 million TEUs containerized traffic capacity
of the port of Jeddah.
RSGT's shareholders include Malaysia's MMC Corporation
as well as the Chinese terminal operator COSCO Shipping
Ports, which has acquired 20% of the company's share capital
in 2021 (
