Still in the wake of the effect of the acquisition of Germany's Schenker
(
of
the 12th
and
13
September 2024 and
30
April 2025), in the third quarter of 2026 the group's revenues
DSV set a new record by rising to 80.7
billion Danish kroner (€10.8 billion), with an increase
by +12.1% over the July-September period last year. The
growth was driven by the increase in business volumes
generated by air and sea shipments, which were equal to
respectively to 24.6 billion (+16.6%) and 21.1 billion crowns
(+19.7%), and by the new record of turnover produced by the contract sector
logistics, which amounted to 14.3 billion crowns (+8.9%).
Revenues from road transport services were stable,
amounted to almost €23.4 billion (-0.2%).
EBITDA reached a record value of 9.3 billion crowns
(+18.3%), with a contribution of 4.8 billion from air shipments and
maritime sector (+20.3%), of over 3.1 billion from contract logistics
(+27.4%) and €1.1 billion from road transport (-14.2%). EBIT
totalled €6.6 billion (+21.6%), with contributions equal to
respectively to 4.3 billion (+21.1%), 1.7 billion (+52.4%) and 526 billion
million (-34.1%) from the three business segments. DSV announced
whereas EBIT includes €300m in capital gains on disposals
real estate.
If in the third quarter revenues rose by +10.5% at exchange rates
However, gross profit grew by only +2.3%
having been equal to over 20.2 billion, with a gap that
results from transport tariffs and fuel charges
that have been tipped over customers, inflating the
revenues and diluting margins.
As for the negative performance of the transportation division
DSV attributed the cause to the drop in reliability
service in some European markets during the integration of the
Schenker road network.
In the period July-September of this year, the volumes of
air shipments handled by DSV amounted to 561 thousand
tons (-3.1%) and those of maritime shipments to 1.04 million
of TEU containers (-2.6%).
Forecasts for the full year
2026, DSV tempered EBIT forecast ahead of rumors
extraordinary at 24-25 billion crowns from the previous interval
23.5-25.5 (in 2025 it was 19.6 billion). For the fourth quarter, the
group assumes growth in air freight volumes and
maritime lower than that of the market and slightly lower yields
lower than the third. For road transport
expects a stable to slightly growing market.
