Suezmax rates rampant as Ceyhan cargoes fixed

London (Reuters)- One million barrel oil shipping rates surged as tanker demand picked up across several sectors, brokers said yesterday. "Suezmaxes are going through the roof in the Mediterranean," a broker said.
Rates have leaped 20 Worldscale points to around W150 ($5.00 per tonne) for 130,000 tonne cross Mediterranean voyages, brokers said.
