Pakistan first signatory to UN shipping convention

UNITED NATIONS : Pakistan became the first UN member state on Tuesday to sign the International Convention on the arrest of ships. The signatures to the document were put by Ambassador Shamshad Ahmad, permanent representative to the United Nations, on Tuesday.
