THE PORT of Singapore Authority (PSA) has embarked upon an expansion plan to neutralise the strength of its main rival, Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP).

Industry sources said PSA has invested US$10 billion (US$1 = RM3.80) in a port expansion project in Tanjung Pagar, and another US$4 million in Pasir Panjang to increase the throughput volumes.
