IMF tells South Korea to stop buying bad firms' bonds

A top International Monetary Fund (IMF) official on Monday urged the South Korean government to stop underwriting corporate bonds and let debt stricken firms fail.
Stanley Fischer, the IMF first deputy managing director, said public aid was holding up the restructuring of the massive amount of corporate debt remaining in South Korea.
