UN: World economy to grow scant 1.4% in attack aftermath

The world economy will grow at just 1.4 per cent this year because of the impact of the terrorist attacks on the United States on an already slowing economy, the United Nations said in a revised forecast on Wednesday.
Only three months ago, the United Nations was forecasting global economic growth of 2.4 per cent.
