The crash of another American Airlines plane in New York on Monday, though not initially linked to any attack, dashed hopes for the ailing airline industry's quick recovery and sent carriers' shares sharply lower.
Shares of the parent company of American Airlines fell sharply Monday, dropping $1.64, or 9%, to $16.49.
