Dalian Port becomes 7th largest in China

Dalian Port, in northeast China's Liaoning Province, handled more than 100 million tons of cargo in 2001, the first time in its history.

The port, the only ice-free port in northeast China, has thus become the seventh largest in the country as far as throughput is concerned.
