9 Japanese ports to build cargo data network

TOKYO - Administrators of Japan's nine major ports agreed Tuesday to build a cargo data network by fiscal 2004 to better compete with foreign ports, they said.

The agreement was reached at a meeting in Tokyo of officials from local governments in charge of the nine ports - Tokyo, Yokohama, Kawasaki, Shimizu in Shizuoka Prefecture, Nagoya, Osaka, ......
