OTTAWA - The federal government should act quickly on implementing the proposals advanced in the report on the Canada Marine Act review, say spokespersons for the country's shipping organizations.
Many of the recommendations focused on Ottawa's relationship with ports, and the Association of Canadian Port Authorities is looking forward to their enactment, said ACPA chairman Robert Masson.
"We were most pleased that the expert panel made strong recommendations for amendments to the act," Mr. Masson said
