Potential labour dispute sends Vancouver containers south

VANCOUVER - Uncertainty over a potential labour dispute at the Port of Vancouver is causing container diversion to Puget Sound ports Seattle and Tacoma, Vancouver Port Authority President and Chief Executive Officer Gordon Houston has confirmed.

"We are starting to see a bit of erosion because of the labour climate," Capt. Houston said. "As always happens, we see cargo diverting to other ports just in case of a shutdown" ......
