Russia promises to start talks on tanker security
Finnish and Russian foreign ministers meet in Moscow

Russia has said that it would soon begin discussions with the European Union on the establishment of common norms for oil tankers sailing in icy waters. Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov made the promise on Friday after meeting with Finland's Minister for Foreign Affairs Erkki Tuomioja.
