Sept. 22: Movement of ship in the navigational channel of the Chittagong Port resumed at 7.30 am this morning after a suspension for about 12 hours following the collision of two ships yesterday.

Talking to The Independent, AMM Shahadat Hussain, Chairman of the Chittagong Port Authority (CPA) said, the navigational channel of the Chittagong Port is quite okay and fit for movement of ships. For this reason, the authority has allowed ship movement since 7.30 am, he added.

Following the collision of two ships near the Chittagong Naval Base at about 7.30 pm last night, ship movement was suspended in the night to avert any accident. But during this period, there was no schedule of arrival and departure of ships in the Chittagong Port ......
