Traders expected to incur additional $3.7m cost a month

AMMAN - Shipping agents on Thursday decried a decision by international shipping firms to impose extra charges on containers heading to or leaving Aqaba Port as of next Monday, Sept. 15, saying such a step will harm Jordanian exporters and importers.
According to the decision, the companies will start charging an extra $150 on each 20-feet container and $300 on each 40-container bound for or leaving Aqaba as they considered Aqaba a congested port
