Government includes Aqaba Port management in privatisation drive

AMMAN - Any government privatisation plan for the Port of Aqaba will start with the containers' wharf, a senior state official said Monday.

The official's statement came after Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade Mohammad Halaiqa was quoted by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, as saying that the work is under way to shift the management of Aqaba Port from the hands of the government to a foreign private company ......
