The figure was a 23 percent rise over the same period last year,according to statistics from the port's border inspection station.

The number of arrivals of Chinese and foreign crewmembers at the port topped 71,383 in the first six months of this year, up 18.5 percent year-on-year.

The port handled 2.3 million twentyfoot equivalent units (TEUs)in the first half of the year, up 29.7 percent on a yearly basis, statistics show ......
