Nitish promises modern port terminal in a year

KOLKATA: Railway minister Nitish Kumar on Monday laid the foundation stone for domestic and international terminal at Kolkata Port and said that the Rs 10 crore multi-modal facility would be ready within a year.

Construction on the port terminal would start within month, Kumar said, adding that the railway's undertaking, Container Corporation India (CONCOR), would take charge of the project.

The facility will be ready September 2004 ......
