Panama's maritime authority (AMP) is accepting expressions of interest for its "port megaproject," which entails port development near the Panama Canal, AMP's planning director Hernando Arias told BNamericas.
Specifically, the project involves building ports alongside the Panama Canal on the Pacific and Atlantic coasts at an estimated cost of US$600mn and US$400mn, respectively.
