Port to put its case for full new container terminal

Durban - Port authorities will submit their business case for the full conversion of Pier One at the Durban harbour into a container handling facility to the Transnet board in the third quarter of this year.

A National Ports Authority spokesperson said yesterday that Transnet had approved funds to demolish buildings and structures on Pier One and to resurface it to the same standards as the Durban container terminal ......
