Shippers say cargo at 2 terminals greatly reduced

Independent truck drivers who have been staging protests at the Port of Oakland and at a Union Pacific terminal near Stockton since Friday have significantly slowed the flow of cargo, shipping executives said Tuesday.
The drivers are seeking relief from the high cost of diesel fuel, complaining that the price has climbed from $1.05 per gallon 10 years ago to more than $2.30 today while their wages have remained flat
