The plan to shift most commercial shipping out of Sydney Harbour was "severely lacking in detail" and had been developed without substantial consultation, an industry group submission to a government inquiry has stated.
The Sydney Harbour Maritime Forum, a government-linked group representing commercial and recreational users of the harbour, said no decision should be made to move shipping operations because no suitable alternative facilities were available - and there was no "compelling commercial and logistical argument" to do so
