Screening machines at ports opposed

KARACHI: Pakistan Ship's Agents Association (PSAA) has opposed the installation of scanning and screening machines by Pakistan Customs at KPT and PQA and by state-controlled freight monopoly National Logistic Cell (NLC).

Chairman PSAA Farouq H. Rahimtoola, in his letter addressed to Additional Secretary, Ministry of Communication has disclosed that Collector of Customs, Exports, has issued instructions to KPT, PQA and the respective container terminals operators for providing space for installation of scanners with a view to screening of all export containers ......
