Cochin Port Trust handles record traffic

KOCHI : The Cochin Port Trust (CPT) has handled all-time high annual traffic of 135.72 lakh tonnes during 2003-04, registering an increase of 4.2 per cent from the previous year.

Compared to the target of 135 lakh tonnes fixed for the year, an increase of 0.72 lakh tonnes has been registered, which is 0.53 per cent more than the target fixed for the year, CPT chairman Jacob Thomas said ......
