MPs eased Finance Ministry fears yesterday when they voted in favour of a deal to privatise Bahrain's ports.
Parliament was halted mid-session last week when a vote on a Royal Decree handing over the running of Mina Salman and the upcoming Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Port to APM Terminals Bahrain was deadlocked at 17-17.
However, MPs voted 20-18 in favour of the move yesterday - with opposition coming from Al Wefaq's 17 MPs and financial and economic affairs committee chairman Dr Aziz Abul. Two MPs were absent
