Port competitiveness vital for Gib economy, says Holliday

Minister for Shipping Joe Holliday has denied Spanish press reports that the recently announced increase in port fees is linked to a call by the Madrid Government for Gibraltar to adopt tighter security in relation to vessels anchored on the Eastside.
In a statement Mr Holliday has also responded to criticisms by independent local port operators regarding the new tariffs arguing that these have been discussed and agreed “within the Port Advisory Council over many months.” ......
