High court clears way for Manila port project

The Supreme Court has stopped the city council of Manila led by Vice Mayor Francisco Moreno from suspending the expansion project of the Philippine Ports Authority at the Manila International Container Terminal.
In a temporary restraining order issued on December 8, the court's second division headed by Senior Associate Justice Antonio T. Carpio, stopped the City Council and the Office of the Mayor from enforcingcity resolution No. 141, which recommended the suspension of the MICT Berth 6 project ......
