UIRR, supported increase of the transport arranged in 2010



Last year the intermodal shipments operated by the societies that are under responsibility of the UIRR (International Union of Combined Road-Rail Transport Companies) have been 3.030.864, with an increase of 8% regarding 2.818.349 shipments totaled in 2009. "The arranged transport road-track and the UIRR - the president of the association has commented, Rudy Colle - have archived item a fruitful year that has brought back our system of transport goods, that he is sustainable economically and ecologically, to its trend of increase". Before the impact of the economic recession on the section of the arranged transport, in the 2008 UIRR it had recorded a total of 2.994.625 shipments, with an increase of 2% regarding 2.937.542 in 2007.

In the course of the shareholders' meeting of the UIRR, held last week to Brussels, they are profitable famous the data of the traffic realized last year from the associated companies, that they show an analogous increase of the arranged transport accompanied and that not accompanied.
