Last month, Chinese ports handled a traffic of containers totaling 14,457,800 TEUs, with an increase of 10.1% compared to August 2010. The only traffic in seaports amounted to 12,964,300 TEUs (+9.3%), while in the terminal river / inland 1,493,600 TEUs were handled (+17.4%).
Among the main ports for traffic, it handled 2,770,000 TEUs Shanghai (+5.3%), Shenzhen 2,123,000 teu (-4.5%), Ningbo-Zhoushan 1,347,700 teu (+9.2% ), Guangzhou 1,297,000 teu (+24.3%) and Qingdao 1,085,600 teu (+2.4%)
In the first eight months of 2011 totaled a Chinese port traffic 105,681,200 TEUs, up 12.6% over the corresponding period last year. The ports have handled 95,596,100 TEUs (+11.9%) and river terminals / Inland 11,180,400 teu (+19.5%). In the period from January to August this year, it handled 20,981,800 TEUs Shanghai (+10.0%), Shenzhen 14,840,500 teu (+0.1%), Ningbo-Zhoushan 9,926,200 teu (+14.0% ), Guangzhou 9,074,800 teu (+12.0%) and Qingdao 8,695,600 teu (+11.5%).
