The change at the top of the ICMP took place this afternoon in the presence of Marina Monassi, president of the Port Authority of Trieste, an organization which is the sole member of the Foundation. The Steering Committee has appointed the other members of the Board of Directors of the Foundation in the person of Renato Cristin (Professor of Theoretical Philosophy of Trieste University) and Antonio De Paul (Regional Chair FIAP).
Brigante has held numerous prestigious positions throughout his career and is currently President of the Company Manager Energy Markets (GME) to which they are entrusted, among other things, the organization and economic management of the national electricity market.
The ICMP Foundation was formed in 2009 to promote cultural heritage of the Old Port and to contribute to the development of the maritime port sector through training activities and promotional activities such as conferences, debates and seminars. So far the Foundation's activity was centered primarily on the development of vocational training courses in maritime and port.
The Port Authority of Trieste has stressed that the will of the leadership entity port and ICMP is to enhance the scope of the Old Port with routes respectful of nature and environmental aspects, which also have an economic impact throughout . In this context, it is possible to insert the Hummingbird participation in the project and willingness to open to the public, properly prepared, the Central Hydrodynamics whose restoration architectural terms is expected in early 2012.
